All of our items are manually cut from rough, raw pine lumber. Each piece contains unique qualities and irregularities like wood grain, knots and other natural characteristics of wood. As part of our finishing process, we hand-sand surfaces and edges after painting to give a worn, primitive, antique style appearance. After painting and sanding, we finish with our unique staining process (non-petroleum based, home-made tint) to add to the weathered look of our pieces. This finishing process slightly varies from piece to piece depending on the characteristics of each piece of wood, and may result in a range of colors from a soft gray to a dull orange/brown look on the sanded edges. Each piece is hand-made from start to finish and will always be unique!
